· #Sam Winchester #Castiel #Sassy #Sastiel #my edits #I happily had a random burst of Sassy inspiration yesterday- I have about 5 more sets in mind to attempt to do #Before anyone gets defensive I want to stress that the point of this isn't trying to attack Dean- it isn't Dean at all #I just want to have something appreciating how quick Sam is to defend Castiel and how lovely I think that is #It's like he's looking after him #and I think it stems from a place of being very...emotionally aware of Castiel in a way only a couple other characters are IMO #He's just very aware of his feelings and quick to pick up on hurt whether it's physical or emotional #and to try to understand him and do something to help him #And I just find it unspeakably beautiful that Sam Winchester #the boy with the demon blood who always wanted to believe angels were watching over him #wound up watching over an angel #Also- you know what I really love about that last moment? Sam doesn't ask Cas to do the right thing- he asks him to let himself receive help #Because Sam gets what a lot of fandom apparently doesn't want to #That Castiel did something horrific but it didn't come from a place of malice #only one of being broken and lost. A place Sam is all too familiar with being in #He gets that and he doesn't need Cas to grovel at his feet or work to be in his good graces again #He just needs him to come home and let himself be helped #So Sam Winchester- the boy who always felt so unworthy of forgiveness #is also the boy who granted absolution to an angel in that moment #My creys TBH #Why is Sassy so beautiful you guys?
